First time hearing about Armenta Jewelry? The jewelry all started with designer and artist Emily Armenta. She strives to preserve the rich heritage of handcrafted jewelry-making techniques, combined with her sense of duty through social responsibility and a passion for creating a life with meaning. These are the building blocks that lead her to establish Armenta. Emily draws her inspiration from the stories that artists and great leaders tell through their art, or the struggles they’ve had to overcome. Therefore, many of the pieces are inspired by staple works of art throughout history.
Not only is Armenta Jewelry creating one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces but they stand behind a strong social mission. They support and work with artisanal mines around the world. Through this effort, Armenta is able to support some of the poorest communities by providing environmentally clean and sustainable work. In addition, a large percentage of the gold that Armenta uses comes from recycled gold to further protect the ecosystem and the indigenous peoples’ lands. Armenta believes we have a responsibility to actively engage in promoting responsible jewelry making practices from mining all the way to the finished product.
