Now, sneaking around and keeping secrets may feel a little counterintuitive during the foundation of your future marriage. Use an Existing Ring
One of the best ways to find your girlfriend's ring size is to use an existing piece in her collection. When you have a moment alone, go through her rings and see if you can find one she wears on her left ring finger. Then, trace it with a pencil on a piece of paper. Another method is to press the ring into a small bar of soap, like the kind you get at hotels. Take the trace or impression of your ring to Beré Jewelers and we’ll help you find the perfect size. Ask a Friend or Family Member
You can always enlist the help of an ally, such as one of her friends or family members. The easiest way would simply be to ask. You could also have your ally do some of the spying for you. Perhaps they would be willing to look through your girlfriend's jewelry collection or take her on a “just for fun” jewelry shopping trip where they could determine her ring size.
While She's Sleeping
A third way to get your girlfriend's ring size is to measure her left ring finger while she's sleeping. Simply take a piece of string and lightly wrap it around the base of her ring finger.
